Evaluation on the use of free amino acids in diets for red tilapia fries

An experimental investigation was conducted to address the question of optimum proportion protein, free amino acid mixture and test how red tilapia fries will respond casein-gelatin based diets with partial and/or total replacement FAA mixture. The protein used (5:1) acids matched profile. Eight on use casein gelatin (CG)-based were analyzed, five feeding treatments incomplete replacing dietary a uncertain AA replaced at different levels 10% (FAA10), 20% (FAA20), 30% (FAA30), 40% (FAA40), 50% (FAA50) another two control without inclusion. Red tilapia, Oreochromis mossambicus × O. niloticus initial average weight (0.13 g ±0.01) fed for an 8-week trial. results this study showed that fish CG diet had significant effect (P<0.05) higher mean final body (2.29 g) specific growth (5.1% /day) than Cont 1 diet. During prolonged double feeding, FAA30 treatment group presented highest (worst) FCR (1.20) significantly from cont1 gives lowest (best) value (0.89). survival rate did not differ 95.4% (P >0.05).There no difference (P>0.05) in dry matter ash contents examined diets. Fish FAA50 lipid content (P<0.05), unlike other treatments. There whole FAA40 has high level all compared mostly groups. Despite presence beneficial nutrients such as mixture, it can be concluded components increase feed efficiency.
